About Us
As as club we aim to combine success on the pitch with a strong social calendar. To support this, the Club has developed a well qualified and committed coaching structure and has recently reviewed its operating structure to focus across areas including Club Development, Playing and Coaching, Social and Communications. Recent highlights include the growth of our Junior Section and Divisional titles for the Men's First and Second Teams and Ladies Third Team.
Stratford Hockey Club boasts :
- 5 Men's League teams;
- A Mens Veterans Team playing midweek fixtures;
- 3 Ladies League teams;
- A Ladies Veterans Team also playing midweek games;
- A Mixed Team and
- An always active and rapidly growing Junior Section for youngsters aged five to thirteen.
Our Junior Section provides an introduction to hockey and then aims to develop players within training sessions, during games and in various tournaments.
Recent on-field successes include:
- The Men's First Team becoming the 2009/10 West Midlands Premier League Champions after taking the Mercian Summer Hockey League Warwickshire Division title in 2009;
- The Ladies First Team reaching the last sixteen of England Hockey's National Vase in 2010/11, and
- The Ladies Second Team reaching the Quarter-finals of the 2009/10 England Women's 2nd XI Trophy.
Our men's teams play in the ENER-G Midlands Regional Hockey Association Leagues, with the First Team playing in Division 1, two promotions from National League hockey.
Our ladies teams play in the Warwickshire Women's Hockey League.
Men's and ladies fixtures are usually played on Saturdays, with the men training on Wednesday evenings and the ladies on Thursday evenings. Junior fixtures are usually played on Sundays with training on Wednesday evenings.

Stratford Hockey Club is a section of Stratford Sports Club, which also boasts thriving Tennis, Cricket, Squash, Athletic and Snooker sections. Insurance - The Club carries Public Liability Insurance but individuals are encouraged to take out their own personal insurance.
