Juniors
We have a thriving Junior Section and warmly invite new players to our club. 2010/11 was another successful year when our youngsters represented Warwickshire in competition.
Whilst the U13 Boys and Girls compete in the Greater Warwickshire League (with home matches held on Sundays 12.00 - 1.30pm), we also aim for mixed friendly matches at U9, U11 and U13 levels to be held at least once a month.

Training
Training takes place at The Astro at Stratford High School on Wednesday evenings from 6 - 7pm for U13. Girls that are 13 years or over should attend the ladies training on Thursday evenings from 7 - 8pm. Boys that are 13 years or over should attend the men's training session on Wednesday evenings from 7 - 8 pm. If you are unsure as to which sesson you should be attending please contact the Junior Representatives - Anne Tubb and/or Sandra Leary. Training for U13s will start on Wednesday 15th September, for over 13s boys on Wednesday 15th September and for over 13s girls on Thursday 16th September.
There is no training during half terms or school holidays.

Subs and Match Fees
Subs for the year for U13 juniors is £35 per annum with match fees at £2 per match. 13 years and over are required to pay £45 per annum with match fees remaining at £2 per match. Subs are due by 31 October 2011. Membership form can be downloaded here.
Kit
For matches, players should we wearing appropriate hockey club kit - black and white hooped socks, black skorts (girls) /white shorts (boys) and black (home) or white (away) shirt. Please speak to the Junior coordinators about ordering kit. All junior players, whether playing or training, are strongly advised to wear shin pads, and gum shields.
Expectations of parents, children and the club
The club has a child protection policy to promote good practice in relation to the safety and welfare of children and young people and to assist volunteers to make informed and confident responses to child protection issues. All volunteers are CRB checked. For more information on our policies, please refer to our Policies Page.
To assist this goal the support of parents/guardians is required by adherence to a code of conduct as follows:
- Ensure that their child is wearing the appropriate hockey kit (i.e. sportswear, no jeans) and appropriate safety protection namely gum shields and shin pads;
- Drop off children on time and be there to collect them promptly;
- Complete the relevant membership form and ensure they are updated (emergency numbers are essential);
- Encourage fair play.
